Halloween on Central is a go, and it features a record 500 Tampa Bay businesses

Revelers enjoying Halloween on Central

The community remains focused on recovery efforts following Hurricanes Helene and Milton. Volunteers, donation drives, and fundraisers are in motion to help Pinellas County rebuild. Though the challenges ahead are significant, residents also find ways to celebrate the spirit of the city and support local businesses. Halloween on Central, one such event, will go on as planned. This massive open-air celebration spans nearly two miles along Central Avenue.

On Sunday, October 27, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., attendees can stroll and roll along Central Avenue, from 31st Street to Dr. MLK Jr. (9th) Street, experiencing the vibrant heart of the Sunshine City. Trick-or-treaters and festival-goers will rediscover their favorite local businesses and interact with the community in a fun, healthy way—without the hassle of car traffic.

“We Are St. Pete, and there’s one thing I know about this community… we are compassionate, hard-working, resilient, and truly care about each other,” wrote Roger Curlin, Executive Director for the EDGE District. “The recovery period won’t be quick or easy for many parts of our community and economy, but focusing on what each of us can do to support local businesses and residents is paramount.”

Getting to this 22-block event is easy, with multiple options available. The award-winning SunRunner offers convenient stops along the festival route. Attendees can also bike, scooter, walk from nearby neighborhoods, carpool, or park nearby—thanks to the Tampa Bay Rays, who are offering free parking in their lots all day. PSTA and the SunRunner have stepped up with a sponsorship, providing free fares for the SunRunner on October 27.
