6) The only chains we have in the 'Burg are on our bikes.  We keep it local.

Between Keep St. Pete Local, Localtopia, iLovetheBurg, Keep St Pete Lit and the countless neighborhood businesses that make this city such a wonderful and fresh place to visit, chains don't stand much of a chance in pushing out on the mom and pop stores. 

7) Our beaches are the reamains of Atlantis.

There's no better feeling than getting sticky with sea salt while sipping on a Citrus lifestyle ale from the St. Petersburg Brewery. The sand is white, the water is soothing, several weddings will likely cycle through and there are plenty of places to snack, drink, dine and relieve yourself from historic Pass-A-Grille and beyond The Don Cesar. 

8) Our main forms of public transport are horse drawn buggies, trolleys and longboards.

Local Longboards has just opened on Central, the city has begun an initiative that offers free Trolley service from the pier and all along Beach Drive and just a stones throw from the farm-to-fork delicacies of the Birchwood are horse and buggy rides for any couple looking to get romantic or family hoping to make some memories. 

9) The Antique/Boutique/Flea/Farmers Markets 

Towards the end of the week finding a decent market to go to is like shooting fish in a barrel. The Edge District Farmers Market has returned to the scene and Deuces Live has added their own take on the fresh market each Sunday. Staple favorites like the Saturday Morning Market, Brocante Market, Grand Central Flea and the Indie Market continue to bring together the brightest aspiring artists and the most mouth watering delights this city can offer.

10) The BBQ…The BBQ…The BBQ.

From old dogs like Champions BBQ on 4th St to fresh meat like Urban Brew and BBQ in Grand Central and the Witches BBQ Den on 2nd Ave, 'Burgers are never at a loss for fall off the bone treats.
