5 Reasons The Sunshine City Rocks! Part I

Need a refresher? Check out Part II & Part III of the Sunshine City series which highlights the exceptional organizations and residential facets that make the Burg a beautiful place to live, work and play.

1. The sunrise over the water to the east.

Whether you're having sunday mimosas at 400 Beach, an early indulgence in your sweet tooth at Sweet Diva's or an exquisite bit of brunch at Marchand's nothing beats the incendiary sunrise over Tampa Bay in the 'Burg.

2. …and the sunset over the water to the west.

While feasting at BellaBrava or Parkshore, enjoying a summer movie in the park or remedying your sea salt dehydration with a signature cocktail from The Hurricane you can enjoy a gorgeous sunset in style. If you're on the beach looking out into the Gulf of Mexico, you might even catch a wedding or two.

3) We have sunshine 365 days a year.

…with some chance of rain.

You can grab an artisan Key Lime Cupcake from The Cupcake Spot on the 400 Block while getting glazed under a heavy July sun, by the 500 Block find yourself shivering and shaking under the weight of a rapid St. Pete rain and be totally dry before you hit the Grand Central Arts District.  How else could the Sunshine City stay so green and vibrant without a little super soaker action?

4) We drink on rooftops.

'Burgers know good liquor and fine conversation resonate best on rooftop, especially when paired with fire pits and craft drinks. Take in the sea breeze as you sip on a Birchwood Old Fashioned at the Canopy or head past the toll and over the bridge and have a citrus seasoned, lifestyle ale at The Hurricane rooftop bar.

5) We have a geek squad for craft beer.

Beer Nerds rejoice! If ever you are in need of a craft remedy you won't have to walk far to find it. Between 3 Daughters, Green Bench, Cycle Brewing and the forthcoming St. Petersburg Brewery the city offers an eclectic mix of brews to satisfy your tropical and academic desires.
