Malai Indian Cuisine – 437 Central Ave

A charming Indian restaurant has just landed on the historic 400 Block of Central Avenue. Malai offers an array of mouthwatering dishes, including Lamb Biryani, Tandoori Chicken, Garlic Naan, Shrimp Curry, and Paneer Butter Masala. Pulpo St. Pete – 2147 Central Ave

The much-anticipated Pulpo has opened its doors in the Grand Central District, bringing bold flavors and a stylish vibe to the area. The restaurant and bar, from the same team behind Seaworthy Fish Bar and Brick & Mortar, offers a menu packed with creative dishes:

  • Peruvian-style ceviche: Fresh catch, citrus, pomegranate, cilantro, mint, sweet potato, and coconut kaffir lime salsa.
  • Veal albondigas: Crushed tomato sauce, romesco, manchego, and Marcona almond.
  • Caramelized acorn squash: Black mint yogurt, pomegranate, and agrodolce.

Pulpo is quickly becoming a favorite for foodies looking to try something new and exciting.

Tampa Bay Drinkery – 2756 Central Ave

A new music venue has arrived in St. Pete, and it’s already making waves. Tampa Bay Drinkery, located at 2756 Central Avenue, offers a spacious and eclectic setting filled with antique clocks and carefully curated decor from around the world. While there’s no kitchen on-site, the bar serves various beers, wines, and cocktails, making it the perfect spot to unwind after a meal at nearby eateries like Wild Child, Casita Taqueria, or Twisted Indian.

With its welcoming atmosphere and live music, Tampa Bay Drinkery is already becoming one of the neighborhood’s hottest hangouts.

Sparrow Rooftop Bar and Restaurant – 1234 Central Avenue

The EDGE District’s first rooftop bar and restaurant, Sparrow (1234 Central Ave.), is now open. The splashy establishment on the seventh floor of the newly opened Moxy Hotel is infused with “coastal elegance,” according to a press release.

The St. Pete date-night hub spans 4,000 square feet and features a marble-topped bar and an expansive outdoor patio overlooking Central Avenue. We are swooning over the green velvet booths.
