2017 Sunscreen Film Festival
Celebrate the magic of cinema this April with the Sunscreen Film Festival. This multi-day event gives cinephiles the chance to participate in workshops and classes that will help further their appreciation of craft and help them cultivate their own filmmaking style. Expect celebrity appearances, screenings of acclaimed and buzzed about indie hits and more. Visit their website and Facebook page for more details. Cinco De Mayo Celebration with Frankie Negron at Beach – Bay Harbor Hotel
Join Beach Restaurant for Cinco De Mayo festivities on their outdoor stage featuring Frankie Negron! They will have food, drinks, a fun crowd, and of course the music! Recognized as one of today’s most gifted conductors and pianists, Ignat Solzhenitsyn will do both, performing Beethoven’s charming and bouncy Piano Concerto No. 2. Also on the program is Rachmaninoff’s forceful and dramatic Symphony No. 1, which for nearly 50 years was given up for lost after a disastrous premiere.
