Tango with Love at Sundial St. Pete (Feb. 13)
 
 
Sundial St. Pete is the place to be Valentine's Day weekend! Bring your dance partner or come on your own to experience the dance of love. The event will feature free classes with master teachers. If you can walk, you can dance! Performances by the bay are'as best tangueros! Argentine social dancing, open to all. Acclaimed Tango DJ from Miami, Mariano Bejarano. Win prizes at the top of every hour, one lucky person will win a gift in our "Feel the Love" gift drawings. Special discounts at participating stores. Wine tastings and so much more! Glowrage at State Theatre (Feb 12)

St. Pete Fine Art Festival (Feb. 20 & 21)


Graciously sponsored by the St. Petersburg Arts Alliance, City of St. Petersburg and St. Petersburg Museum of Fine Arts, the 3rd Annual St. Petersburg Spring Fine Art Festival unveils original artwork by more than 100 artisans from 25 states and overseas. Also represented are many local and regional artisans. This tapestry of art is woven from works in painting, photography, sculpture, metalwork, digital art, jewelry, glass, ceramics, woodworking, mixed-media, fibert art, metalwork – and much more. If you do not find exactly what you want, commission a piece of original art made expressly for you! The event runs from 10am-5pm on Sat., Feb. 20, and 11am-5pm on Sun., Feb. 21. Peter Tush, Dali Museum Curator of Education, presents the ideas behind “Disney and Dali: Architects of the Imagination.” By examining paintings, conceptual artwork, and correspondence, this talk will reveal how these two vastly different icons were drawn to each other through their unique personalities and their collaboration on the animated short “Destino.” Through dedicated work, ingenious self-promotion, and singular artistic visions, their names are forever inscribed in our collective imagination. 10:30am.

Film Screening – The Forgotten Coast: Return to Wild Florida
The University of South Florida St Petersburg (USFSP) is pleased to partner with the Florida Wildlife Corridor to bring you a screening of their new documentary film "The Forgotten Coast: Return to Wild Florida".   Following in the footsteps of a wandering Florida black bear, three friends leave civilization and become immersed in a vast and unexplored wildlife corridor stretching from the Everglades to the Florida-Alabama border. 6:30pm. Punky's Bar and Grill Grand Opening
Punky's Bar and Grill hosts its Grand Opening this Wednesday. The event will feature two stages. James Ryan Wells, Jennifer Real, Delaran and Lisa Noe will perform. Drag Show at 10:30pm. Shatner's World @ The Mahaffey Theater
William Shatner is famously known for originating the role of Captain James T. Kirk in the television series Star Trek; he continued to play Kirk in seven Star Trek feature films. He also played eccentric lawyer Denny Crane in The Practice and Boston Legal. Known as much for his unique persona as for his expansive body of work, Shatner takes us on a voyage through his life and career, from Shakespearean stage actor to internationally-known icon and personality. The event will feature live music by Oak Hay with some special guests. St. Pete Brewing Company made a special beer for the event.
