Burg Buys Local Week in St. Petersburg
St. Pete made it through Hurricane Irma and recovery is underway. Many have asked what they can do to help – here’s your answer! The Sunshine City’s locally-owned, independent businesses are integral to the unique flavor of our city. This week, business community leaders and City officials have come together to encourage residents to choose local and support neighborhood and locally-owned businesses in response to Irma’s disruption. This week, make it a goal to shop, play, eat, drink, give and live local in every pocket of the city. After-Hours Tour of Skyway: A Contemporary Collaboration at the Museum of Fine Arts
Make sure to see Skyway: A Contemporary Collaboration before it closes at the MFA on October 1. The Contemporaries are pleased to host an after-hours tour of Skyway: A Contemporary Collaboration at the Museum of Fine Arts. Co-curators Katherine Pill and Robin O’Dell will be joined by exhibiting artists who will speak about the works selected for this exciting three-venue exhibition. A cash bar will be available. Old Soul Open Mic at Iberian Rooster

Tuesday Yappy Hour at Pinellas Ale Works
Come enjoy a delicious cold beer and $1 of every pint will benefit the dogs of Maxx & Me Pet Rescue! PAW is dog friendly indoors and outside too. Maxx & Me is an all breed volunteer run rescue that saves dogs from euthanasia, provides any medical or behavior care needed, and finds their perfect forever homes.Donations of leashes/collars, high quality dog food (dry or wet), crates, toys, and dog beds are also needed and appreciated. Painting for a Paws at Dog Bar St. Pete

The MFA presents Art and Media in the Era of Extremism, a unique panel discussion that includes two of the most trusted institutions in the media industry, the Poynter Institute and WUSF Public Media. The event will examine the influence various forms of media have in our ever-changing social and political climate and showcase some of the most well-known thought leaders in the community. Brewers Battle Semifinal #1 at URBAN Brew and BBQ
