St. Pete Melting: Ooze Fest on the Waterfront this Fall

St. Pete Melting: Ooze Fest on the Waterfront this Fall

The Burg is for food lovers. Residents and chefs alike enjoy getting creative with how food is prepared, served and savored. The Gulf to Bay Food Truck Association is no stranger to enticing resident’s senses; the organization has hosted festivals centered around grouper, street food, and French fries.

All of Gulf to Bay’s events are pet- and family-friendly. Each food-themed event takes place on the third Friday of the event and runs from 6-9pm and is free to attend.

Taco and Beer Fiesta to close out summer

On August 18, the organization hosts a summer sendoff Taco and Beer Fiesta at Port St. Pete. The following month, on September 15, GTBFA hosts the St. Pete Asian Lantern Festival.

Note on the Asian Lantern Festival: No lanterns will be released into the sky due to the harmful impact it may have on the environment, instead the organization will have large lanterns strung up throughout the festival for visitors enjoyment.

In October Gulf to Bay ups the fright factor with the St. Pete Zombie Food and Booze Crawl. Dress in your favorite costume and get in the Halloween spirit on the waterfront.

Specialty cheese food truck rally on the waterfront

With summertime blues long since gone, and hints of winter slowly revealing themselves in the Burg, its time to turn toward comfort food. On November 17, GTBFA presents Ooze Fest. Join the community for an evening of cheese and beer courtesy of our local food trucks.

All participating food trucks (list TBA) will prepare speciality cheese-inspired dishes as well as offering their normal cuisine. The culinary celebration will be accompanied by live music. There will be outdoor and indoor seating — just in case that rare cold evening should hit the Burg after the sun goes down.

All food truck rallies take place at Port St. Pete, which is located at 250 8th Avenue Southeast. You can also join Gulf to Bay the third Wednesday of every month for a lunchtime food truck rally at Williams Park downtown. Lunch Truck It Wednesdays begin at 11am and run until 2pm.
