Rowdies to Feature #GOLDTOGETHER Initiative for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

The Tampa Bay Rowdies look to cement their playoff hopes under the lights of Al Lang while also putting a spotlight on childhood cancer.

September is National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and the Rowdies’ #GOLDTOGETHER campaign looks fight the leading disease killer of children in the United States.The Rowdies are working together with Medulloblastoma survivor and honorary Rowdie Cole Eicher to support families, raise research funds and bring awareness to childhood cancer.

The Rowdies take on the Charlotte Independence on September 23 and Bethlehem Steel FC on September 30. For both matches, the Rowdies will donate $2 from every ticket sold to Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital pediatric cancer research unit. The club will also donate $1,000 for every Rowdies goal plus $1,000 for a shut-out.

Twelve-year-old pediatric cancer survivor Marissa Peddie will sing the anthem at both matches.
