Ford’s Garage to Replace Rowdies Den

Ford’s Garage to Replace Rowdies Den

Ford’s Garage Restaurants and The Edwards Group announced that Ford’s Garage acquired the space currently occupied by Rowdies Den at 1st Avenue South and 2nd Street. Ford’s Garage was established in 2012 in Ft. Myers. The restaurant group has locations in Cape Coral, Estero and Brandon, with at least four more locations planned throughout the state.

The gourmet burger bar will transform the space from its current sports bar aesthetic into a 1920s service station/prohibition style restaurant. Along with a litany of specialty burgers, FG also features an expansive Gluten-Free menu, which features lettuce wraps in place of buns, top sirloin steak, homemade cole slaw, berries and gorgonzola salad and more. Each burger is made with USDA Black Angus Beef, American Kobe Beef, Open Range Bison, or all-natural chicken. Items include: BBQ Pork Nachos, Black Angus Chili Cheese Fries, Jumbo Piston Onion Rings, Sushi Grade Ahi Tuna, nine custom burgers and a large craft beer selection. For dessert, diners can enjoy old fashioned malted milk shakes, funnel cake fries, salted caramel cheesecake, hot apple pie, and a selection of adult shakes made with either bulleit bourbon, chocolate vodka, or Captain Morgan spiced rum.

“We were looking for the perfect location and we are certain this corner is it. We’re grateful to Bill Edwards and Darryl LeClair for making the deal happen, and we can’t wait to move forward,” said Marc Brown, president of Ford’s Garage Restaurants, in a release.

The restaurant is slated to open in the summer of 2017.
