Square 1 Burgers & Bar, famous for its unconventional selection of burgers, just opened its sixth location in St. Petersburg this week, according to their Facebook page.

Square 1 has won Sarasota Magazine’s “Best Burger” award two years in a row for their humanely raised, natural Angus burgers as well as Creative Loafing‘s Best of the Bay 2012 Best Portobello Burger. Their wide-ranging menu is like nothing the ‘Burg has ever seen and we’ve been licking our chops ever since they announced the news earlier this year.

Turkey, duck, buffalo, lamb, and salmon are some of the exotic choices of burgers at Square 1. A large selection of appetizers (like the funky named “Woo Hoo Fries” and “Frito Chili Pie”) and soups (like the “Spicy Beer Cheese Soup”) are sure to catch your interest. This is no ordinary burger joint.

Square 1 had its soft launch over the weekend, but is now officially open for paying customers at 3942 Tyrone Blvd. Open from Sun-Thurs 11am-10pm and Fri/Sat 11am-12am with Happy Hour until 7pm every day and food specials throughout the week.
