Dex landed in the Burg in 2006. Relocating from New York City, he and his partner saw the potential in St. Pete’s future as a highly desirable place to live.
Launching I Love the Burg in 2009, he began to chronicle the city’s progress first-hand. 10 years later, thousands of followers, and a popular sister blog, That’s So Tampa, now make up what is the largest independent social media network in Tampa Bay.
As the creator and publisher of I Love the Burg and That’s So Tampa, Dex Fabian has overseen the growth and development of what’s become Tampa Bay’s largest independent social media network and most popular hyper-local news sources.
Serving both sides of the bridge, the two brands have become the area’s most trusted resource for locals, tourists and new transplants alike winning Best of the Bay’s Reader’s Choice Award 10 years in a row. I Love the Burg and That’s So Tampa provide useful, fun and informative news about St. Pete, Tampa and the surrounding areas on the precept of “all things good.”
Having spent the past decade as part of RKC.me, Dex is also a seasoned brand and digital specialist and award winning marketer with over 20 years of experience from Asia to New York and now Florida, helping to build some of the area’s most recognizable brands. He brings an unmatched local market expertise that is strategically aligned to promote homes and developments, alike.
Dex is also a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community, a board member of the Studio@620, a proponent of environmental sustainability, an avid Crossfitter (since 2009) and speaks both Filipino and English.
