Keep Saint Petersburg Local will celebrate its two-year anniversary with Localtopia, “a celebration of all things local,” presented by Mazzaro’s Italian Market. This all day festival will ignite all five of your senses and reveal your sixth with 80+ vendors from the ‘Burg’s most admired independent businesses. Dress, drink, dance and devour the flavors of St. Pete. The mission of Keep Saint Petersburg Local, a non-profit organization affiliated with The American Independent Business Alliance, is to build and nurture a thriving local economy and a community of unique character.

Localtopia is a family friendly affair with areas reserved for self expression through Creative Clay, the DMG School Project’s mobile glass lab, live music and more. Adults can tap into the 190 proof persona of St. Pete with the “Drink like a Local” draft beer truck that will be on hand to ensure no of-age patron wanders through the beer garden parched.

Revel in the zenith of the finest casked brews this side of Carolina. Lose yourself in the homegrown funk of The Applebutter Express, the black heel tapping, tambourine slapping blues of The Betty Fox Band and the insatiable ruffian riffs of Rebekah Pulley. 

From the historic beachfront hotels, beyond the hand rolled smoke rings that’ll marinate your steak two weeks after a puff, to the sweet honey indulgence of true Florida BBQ and the mad mosaic canvases birthed from the artist brain trust of Central Ave., there’s much to love, live and stay for. There isn’t a butter-knife moment to be had at the celebration so enjoy the local roots in new company.

The event runs from 11am-7pm at Williams Park, 330 2nd Avenue North, on Saturday, February 1st. Whether one walks on two legs, rides in on the shoulders of their parents or trots around on four paws, they are welcome to this free event. The doors of St. Pete are open to all vagabond souls, legacies and locals alike. What’s more, iLovetheBurg will be there too handing out some fun giveaways so make sure to look for us!
