One room called "The Science Laboratory" makes you and those you are with assistants to the internationally respected geneticist A.B. Normale. From Escape St. Pete: "During the performance of your normal daily duties you discover that the evil doctor has been conducting illegal human cloning experiments but before you can turn him over to the authorities he locks you in his lab in order to make his getaway. You have one hour to decipher clues and solve puzzles in order to find out where he is going and to get proof of his criminal activities to the FBI before he can leave country.. Are you ready to Escape The Lab?" Another situation has you and your team investigating the disappearance of a renowned artist in their now abandoned loft.

The escape rooms are designed for adults and may not be suitable for children under 12. All minors must be accompanied by an adult. You can have groups of up to 8, depending on which room you choose. Cost is $28 per person. Once officially open, their hours will be Thursday through Sunday, 11am-9pm. Additional corporate and special event bookings available Monday through Wednesday upon request.

For more information you can reach the producers of the escape room at (727) 317-6928. Visit their website for further details.

Bavaro's Pizza coming to the EDGE District

The EDGE District currently features Korean, Cuban, New Orleans, California inspired restaurants. Not to mention some of the best grilled cheese we've ever had, thanks Kings Street. Adding to the exceptional (understatement of the century) lineup of culinary hotspots in the burgeoning district is Bavaro's.

The Napoletena and Pastaria, which is located at 945 Central Avenue, is slowly working on turning the space into a restaurant. While we wait for their official opening we'll happily salivate over pictures of their Verde Salad (arugula, cherry tomatoes, shaved reggiano and lemon juice) and fresh pizzas.

The restaurant imports their own Double Zero Neapolitan Pizza flour direct from Napoli. Bavaro's flour, oven and tomato sources date back over 100 years. The restaurant began in March of 2009 when owners Dan and Anna-Maria Bavaro, with their five children, moved to Tampa from New Jersey. They currently have locations in downtown Tampa and Winter Spring, with another spot opening soon at Tampa International Airport.

All of their pizzas are made in traditional wood-fire ovens. They should be open before the end of the spring of this year.

Follow them on Facebook for updates.
