A “celebration of St. Pete locals” takes over downtown on 727 Day

The exterior of The Galley

July 27 is always one of the hottest days of the year, both literally and metaphorically, as locals celebrate 727 Day. This year, it’s getting even better, as downtown’s The Galley is hosting “a celebration of St. Pete locals” for 727 Day, this Thursday.

Of course, the doldrums of summer are when the waves of tourists slow down and the snowbirds have migrated back north, so it’s appropriate that the calendar date for St. Pete’s area code falls in late July. It’s the time of year when the Burg is as local as it gets, at least based on permanent residency.

To celebrate all things Sunshine City, “St. Pete’s legit local Pub,” as The Galley describes itself, is hosting an appropriate celebration full of great deals, music, live sports, and St. Petians toasting to their home. In addition to their usual menu (which was recently deliciously revamped, if you haven’t been in a little while), The Galley is offering several great 727 deals.

  • $7.27 Cuban sandwiches
  • $7.27 Caprese melts
  • $7.27 Espolon margaritas
  • $7.27 Jefferson old fashioneds

The deals run from 11 am – 10 pm, and food and drink will be available until 3 am. The Galley is located at 27 4th Street North. Check out their full menu here.
